This new contemporary coastal home is the embodiment of custom design excellence. Faced with a site fall of 4.5m, an irregular shaped block and a limited building envelope our design team had to exercise a high degree of technical ability to resolve the site constraints alone. Add to that the need to capture the available ocean views, maintain a good passive solar orientation, and meet the rigorous design brief from the client, we’re sure you will agree the outcome is an impressive testament to the designers.
The home is part two storey, part single storey with a mid-level garage and stepped down living area. There’s an attached alfresco area smoothly achieving a zoned open plan living space, enhanced by the vertical articulation. We used simple shapes and the low pitched skillion roof, combined with the carefully selected and detailed blend of striking external cladding options. This provides a visually stimulating experience from all sides of the home.
